Once In A Lifetime: Chapter 10

“You’re a hot mess, and I’m fallin’ for you.”

– Cobra Starship,Hot Mess

Larry lead me down the hall to his room. I was glad, because there’s no way i would’ve made it up to my room on the elevator without jumping his bones.

He got the door open and we stopped at the foot of his bed. He took my face in his hands and kissed me long and slow, allowing our tongues to gambol. He let one hand travel down to my waist and gently guided me down onto the bed. I sat down and slide my way up closer to the headboard, pulling Larry down on top of me. My body was acutely aware of every inch of him. All I knew in that moment was that I wanted him. I wanted him more than I had ever wanted anything. I bit his bottom lip gently and he pulled away to kiss my neck.

“Larry…” I breathed. His body reacted to this, and he gently nibbled on my ear as I slide my hands under his shirt, feeling the hard muscle there. He sat up and slid his button-up off of his shoulders, giving me the opportunity to pull his t-shirt over his head, knocking his snapback off and onto the floor. I pulled his face back down, covering his mouth with mine. He didn’t protest. He let his hands wander up my shirt, exploring my stomach as he kissed me even more passionately. His hand moved farther up, and when I didn’t push him away, he explored the silky material of my bra. I had never gone this far with someone before. It felt amazing, but that suddenly terrified me.

“Larry…” I said in between kisses.

“Mmm…” he moaned into my mouth, slipping his hand underneath me, searching for my clasps. When he found it, I pulled away, but he just continued to kiss my neck seductively.

“Larry…stop…” I said softly. Larry met my eyes.

“You want to stop?” he asked, raising his eyebrows. He was just so beautiful. My body didn’t want to stop. But my brain said otherwise.

“I just want to…slow down. I’m not ready for…that…” I said slowly, expecting him to get upset with me the way Sam always had when I made him slow down. But Larry simply caressed my face and kiss me softly on the lips.

“Oki, mi amour.”

Our Close-Knit LT Fandom

The Les Twins fandom can be easily categorized as one of a kind. This fandom  isn’t just some teeny-bopper fandom with crying, screaming young girls who talk incessantly to anyone they can find about all things Larry and Laurent related. Well, I take that back. Most of us take any and every opportunity given to talk about Larry and Laurent to just about anyone who is willing to stand, sit, or momentarily pause long enough to listen. But, our fandom is unique. We are a family. We have Les Twins hand signs; we have Les Twins Lady picture day on Friday’s where we all post pictures of ourselves that day showing our beautiful/handsome faces for the rest of the world to see.  Oh, and let’s not forget about the guys, because there are quite a few male fans out there as well.

Many of us have become fast friends, not just online, but in reality. We can’t go a day without calling, texting, instant messaging, skyping… or simply just communicating with one another. See what the love of Les Twins has caused with their gift of dance? Not only have they united a wide range of fans from all over the world to share in their own personal journey to fame, but they have allowed so many of us to become friends who, in any ordinary situation, wouldn’t even know the other existed. All of this brought about due to the love that we all share for two astonishing and phenomenal dancers.

Now, like any other close family, we do have our disagreements, and little “tiffs” with one another. But that is to be expected. Just as with your own real life families, there are always going to be moments when you do not agree with one another, and that is perfectly normal. It’s normal within the fandom as well. Many people seem to think that the fandom should be this place where the Sun shines, and the flowers bloom and the birds sing all day long! *Looks around*… I don’t know what type of fandom these people have been in, but most fandoms are nothing like that. As the artists success becomes larger and more prominent, so does their fanbase. With this comes a more diverse group of people who all have different backgrounds and opinions on life and how things should be done, said, and created. So to sit around and think that everything should be all peaches and cream within the fandom, you’re only fooling yourself. But, the one thing that always happens, is that we kiss and make up and keep it moving because we are always reminded at some point, why we all came together in the first place.

Each fan has their own particularly distinctive reasoning as to why they love Les Twins. If you have ever taken the time to watch the LT Fan videos that have been created, you will hear the numerous testimonies given by the fans as to how Les Twins have changed their lives. Some of us love Les Twins because their strength, will and determination to succeed helped them get through their own personal struggles. Others love Les Twins and look to them as motivation to go out and go for their dreams at all costs. Not letting anyone or anything stand in their way of fulfilling their dreams; just as Laurent and Larry have done themselves.

Whatever the story of each individual fan journey, it can easily be said that Les Twins are doing far more than just showing off their dancing abilities to the world. They are inspirations to those who at one point, lost all hope to go on. They have become the source of light at the end of a long dark tunnel… and for that and the experiences that we all get to share, the fans will forever be thankful to Les Twins!

Once In A Lifetime: Chapter 9

“My mind forgets to remind me you’re a bad idea.”

- Taylor Swift, Sparks Fly

Larry and I decided to just walk a way down to a small beach nearby. I could feel the sun beating down on my bare shoulders. I pulled my sunglasses out of my small over-the-shoulder purse and put them on.

“So where you say you from?” Larry asked.

“Indiana,” I said. “It’s in the mid-west.” Larry nodded.

“What is it like?” he asked. I took a second to consider this.

“Well, a lot of people think it’s all corn field. But Indianapolis is really just like any other big city. But I live in the suburbs. I just went to your typical high school. It’s nothing special,” I answered. Larry was quiet for a minute, and then, “You have boyfriend there?”

The question took me aback. The last time he had asked me this, it was like he had been just messing with me. But this time I got the impression that he really wanted to know.

“No. I mean, there was someone last summer. But he was never really my boyfriend. I think he’s given up by now,” I said, considering Sam had finally stopped texting me. Larry looked at me.

“Then he dumb,” he said. I smiled. He grinned back at me, and took my hand. He laced his fingers through mine. His hand engulfed my hand, but it was nice. For the first time I felt close to him in a non-sexual way.

We walked that way for a while in silence, until we passed a store with several TVs in the window. They were playing some goofy dancing cartoon. Larry caught sight of it, and started imitating it, dropping my hand and waving his long limbs around, making faces. I laughed.

“Larry! Stop!” I said, unable to control my laughter. People were walking by and staring. Some laughed, and others gave strange looks.

“Larry!” He wasn’t listening, and he began spinning. I finally tried to push him playfully, but he stopped, catching my hands on his chest. I could feel his heart beating fast, and he looked down at me. The brim of his snapback was touching my forehead. I reached up, taking it off, and placing it back on his head, backwards. I licked my lips and allowed his mouth to meet mine. He let go of my hands and allowed them to snake around his neck as he kissed me deeper. After only a few seconds, he pulled away.

“Hotel?” he asked, on the verge of breathless. I nodded. He grabbed my hand and we practically ran back down the street.

Once In A Lifetime: Chapter 8

“I can’t help it if you look like an angel.”

   – Taylor Swift, Hey Stephen

A few weeks later, we were putting the final touches on our dances for Melina’s show. Realization started to set in that it was almost time for the tour, and everyone was excited. I spent most of my free time hanging out with Josh and Dahlia (when she wasn’t with Lau), and the rest of the time flirting with Larry.

He hadn’t tried to kiss me again since that night outside of the restaurant, but that didn’t stop him from flirting. He would occasionally come up behind me and wrap his arms around my waist and whispers things in French in my ear. I had no idea what he was saying, but it was so damn sexy that I didn’t even care. And he knew it. Continue reading
